We have two factories located in Tweed Heads, Australia, close to the world famous Kirra and Snapper surf breaks. We manufacture more than 4,000 boards a year with advanced manufacturing technology for brands like Channel Islands, Tomo, Chilli, Pyzel, LOST, SharpEye, Onon and more.
Building surfboards is traditionally labour intensive, which is why high volume production typically takes place in low labour cost countries. Over the past decade epoxy surfboard production has been steadily moving offshore. Consequently many of the brand name surfboards now sold in Australia are sadly, imported from Thailand, Vietnam and China.
We have developed the world’s most advanced surfboard manufacturing technology allowing technically advanced surfboards to be accurately manufactured locally, thus providing a viable competitive alternative to imported products.
We are a company that thrives on doing things it shouldn’t. On transforming every aspect of the surfboard manufacturing industry for the better. So that we can make boards that perform better, react faster and last longer whilst investing back into the local ecosystem that produces them. At Kina, we want to wow you every time you surf one of our products. Because it’s in our DNA to build surfboards that inspire you.
At our core, we are passionate about innovation in surfboard design and construction. We are dedicated to developing new and innovative surfboard constructions to complement your favourite surfboard and building it right here in Australia.
We bring our passion for manufacturing and technology to the brands you love and trust.
We are Kina. We are locals. And of course, we are surfers too.
