Manager, Product (Goggles and Helmets) Full Time
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Global Product Manager for Goggles and Helmets works within the Sports Performance division of the Global Product team. They will collaborate with cross-functional partners to define and deliver innovative new products that align to the brand’s strategic objectives while meeting the needs of the regions across all channels of trade. They will effectively manage the portfolio of Goggles and Helmets through their entire life cycle, from inception to discontinuation.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop New Product Introduction (NPI) materials and formally brief to design and engineering teams
- Manages product calendar for all critical deadlines including new product kick-offs, design & development reviews, regional collection presentations, NPI samples, seasonal catalog, etc.
- Identifies new product opportunities through competitive analysis, marketplace research and consumer insights
- Attends and participates in all relevant design, development and marketing meetings
- Review prototypes / samples, track changes and provides clear feedback to design and development
- Tracks costs, margin, pricing, forecast and actual performance for respective products
- Product lifecycle management to drive business results and productivity
- Systematically manages the product line in our PLM data system
- Presents new products and seasonal collections to key regional stakeholders
- Supports Marketing in the development of GTM (sell-in) materials and seasonal product catalogs by providing product inspiration, key selling features and technical product information
- Tracks the execution of product samples through the sample bag process
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS in Engineering, Business Administration or Marketing plus industry experience in a product management role
- 5+ years’ experience in Product Management or Merchandising role
- Ability to effectively create, implement and manage processes
- Must be detail oriented
- Collaboration skills to create and foster cross-functional partnerships
- Ability to present to large groups of internal partners
- Intimate understanding of the Brand and our core consumer
- Able to succeed in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial perspective on business
- Strong level of technical knowledge relating to product category
- Known as having a “can do” attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for Snow/Bike/Action Sports categories
- Prior experience in consumer hard goods product space
