Special Projects Merchandising Associate Full Time

Summary:

As the Merchandising Associate at Brixton, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our product lines by seamlessly integrating development and merchandising strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring profitable and marketable products to fruition. From supporting Development Managers with tech pack handoff and WIP communication, to managing and owning the SMU and Inline data inputs, while ensuring profitability and on time delivery along the way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned product categories from tech pack hand-off to TOP under close supervision of the responsible Product Manager.
• Request and negotiate pricing for assigned product categories under close supervision of the responsible Product Manager.
• Manage vendor WIP tracking and WIP communication.
• Track and process incoming development samples.
• Assist with daily tasks which includes, but is not limited to, reviewing tech packs, sending tech packs to vendors, creating WIP’s, assisting with preparation for key meetings, maintaining an organized filing system and performing seasonal validation.
• Oversee the SMU and SPO process from inception to PO issue stage.
• Manage inputting all merchandising and supply chain data into the seasonal line list and PLM system.
• Work with Merchandising to set up target costing, pricing, and margin to help inform development and design direction.
• Maintain up to date design overviews with pertinent information.
• Gather and analyze sales and customer feedback to understand areas of improvement.
• Support planning in the creation of the seasonal Roadmap
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

• Associate’s or equivalent experience in Product Development, Fashion, or Design preferred.
• 1-2 years professional work experience in an office environment and/or apparel experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, and Power Point) and Adobe Illustrator
• Must be highly organized; able to take direction and work independently.
• Must be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a professional manner.
• Must have proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, provide a high level of attention to detail, and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Must be able to move and lift boxes (no more than 15 lbs.) of apparel samples.
